| We are needing to liquidate our farm in order to move south and care for aging parents.
I am selling a fantastic trail riding horse registered with APHA. My husband rode her when he had never been on a horse before and rode her for 3 years. She was a broodmare when we bought her & had not been trail riding for several years. Without little to no "tune up" she took right back to it. My husband has ruptured a disc in his back and is looking at a second surgery to repair a bulging disc now. He has been advised not to ride if he wanted to save his back and we are also preparing to relocate out of state within the next year or two. This mare also has a filly that looks just like her & has not had any training to speak of that we would add to the package at for an additional $300. if you'd like to have her. She will be two years old in May this year. We would sell the trail horse by herself though. She will cross water & actually enjoys the water. Will step over rocks, fallen trees, or whatever you ask her to do, She does not spook easily, stands for the ferrier, vet, etc. Loads & unloads, stalls, ties to trailer, pickett line or anything and will not paw. Will even ground tie. She carries saddle bags fully loaded, does not paw when tied, stands still for mounting, you name it. She & the filly have two blue eyes. Will sell with her tack-bridle, rope, etc. She is 19 years old this year. She will be due for her spring shots but is otherwise healthy. She has no known health issues or history of any-including injury. The only "flaws" she has is that she likes to be the rear horse on a ride. She is sweet, enjoys riding but doesn't like anyone behind her. She feels safe I guess, being the rear watchguard. She will pin her ears and constantly look behind her at the horse following. She also will not stand still to have her bridle path clipped with clippers. We just use scissors or let it grow. She has never done anything dangerous.
